1. How many AI triages do I get on the free plan?
Free includes 3 photo / symptom AI triages per week and up to 2 vehicles; service, fuel, cost logs and reminders are unlimited. The triage allowance resets each calendar week. Pro (in v1.1) unlocks unlimited triages and unlimited vehicles.
2. Is the AI triage reliable? Could it misdiagnose?
GaragePal gives informational guidance, not a diagnosis. For safety-critical systems — brakes, steering, airbags — we always attach a non-diagnostic disclaimer and recommend you consult a qualified mechanic, and we never give unsafe DIY instructions.
3. Where does my photo and data go?
When you run a triage, your photo or symptom text plus a brief summary of that car's recent records are sent in real time to a third-party AI provider (OpenAI, routed via our self-hosted AI gateway) to produce the result; they aren't retained beyond that and aren't used to train models. Everything else — your vehicles, logs, photos and triage results — lives in your own private account, with row-level security so only you can read it.
